Since 2005, ALÉA (a French word for "haps of life") has supported musical creation, mainly in the field of contemporary jazz, under Olivier de Bethmann and Jean-Noël Relier’s voluntary leadership.
It has produced tons of concerts, four major artistic residencies, fifteen albums, and numerous videos.
It has hired more than fifty musicians, has teamed with more than twenty regular partners (sound engineers, recording studios, instrument makers, backliners, graphic designers, photographers, video makers, record labels, distributors, promotion and booking agencies, artistic federations, collective rights management companies), and has dealt with countless concert organizers throughout France and Europe.
In 2015 ALÉA moved up to a label, distributed by IDOL and SOCADISC.
ALÉA's projects are regularly supported by the Centre National de la Musique (CNM), the Société Civile pour l'Administration des Droits des Artistes et Musiciens Interprètes (ADAMI), the Société de Perception et de Distribution des Droits des Artistes Interprètes (SPEDIDAM), and the Société des Producteurs de Phonogrammes en France (SPPF).
ALÉA's artists and partners must act in accordance with articles of the French Code du Travail relating to harassment and discrimination.
