Le Centre national de la musique (CNM) is a public establishment created in 2020 and placed under the authority of the French Ministry of Culture and Communication. It is responsible for the direct collection and recovery of the tax on popular music shows. It issues approvals for two tax credits: the tax credit for live performances and the tax credit for phonographic production, and has a selective aid fund for the music industry. It is an observatory of the economy and data for the entire sector, and also has a mission to promote equality between women and men.
